Get your beer here!
To say that the Bike New York staff is busy these days would be putting it mildly. Not only is our education department gearing up to teach bike skills to more New Yorkers this season than ever before (more than 16,000 learned from us last year, and we expect that number to go up by the time 2016 rolls around), we’re less than a week away from throwing the biggest weekend-long annual celebration of cycling in the country: Bike Expo New York and, of course, the TD Five Boro Bike Tour Presented by REI. We’ve been working hard, staying late at the office, dotting our i’s and crossing our t’s, and triple-checking our work—so it’s only natural that occasionally our thoughts turn to what author and humorist Dave Barry once called “the greatest invention in the history of mankind.”
We’re talking about beer, of course. Specifically, the beer that’s going to be served at the Bike Expo New York Beer Garden, which is sponsored by Taste NY and will feature the fine offerings of New York–state breweries Broken Bow Brewery, Good Nature Brewing Co., KUKA – Andean Brewing, and Sloop Brewing. Here are some tasting notes—you know, to get you excited. (And by “you,” we might mean “us.”)
