How to ride a bike
This free 6 week program for kids ages 10 and up offers participants a chance to learn the mechanics of riding a bike, the rules of the road, best practices for riding in a group and on the streets, and–of course–the joy and freedom of biking.
Duration: 2 hours
Period: July-August
Locations: St. Mary’s Park (The Bronx), Van Cortlandt Park (The Bronx), Crotona Park (The Bronx), Forest Park (Queens), Pier 76 (Manhattan), Inwood Hill Park (Manhattan), El Barrio/East Harlem East River Playground (Manhattan), Pink Playground (Brooklyn), McCarren Park (Brooklyn), Fort Wadsworth (Staten Island), and Roosevelt Island.
Instructors: 2 trained instructors
Equipment: Bikes, helmets, and safety vests provided
Age Restrictions: Kids must be 10 years or older
Class Size: 10 – 15 kids (parent or guardian attendance is required)

Whether or not your child knows how to ride, our Summer Program is a guaranteed hit. Once we get everyone on the saddle and rolling along smoothly, we’ll empower them with the confidence and know-how to safely navigate New York City’s parks, greenways, and bustling streets. They’ll gain a skill they’ll never forget, and a gift that keeps on giving.

By signing your child up you are committing to attending all 6 sessions in the program. In the event of inclement weather, we will cancel the session and notify participants at least 2 hours before the beginning of class.
